Civil Office

The Sheriff of Columbia County is tasked with serving and executing the civil processes of the court. As a valued member of Sheriff Hessler's staff, Civil Deputy Carole Sleeman carries out these duties in his behalf. Sleeman processes an average of 450 court documents for service each year. Sleeman also has been charged with oversite of the entry of arrest warrants and restraining orders into the local, state and national computer data bases, local sex offender registration and issuance of concealed pistol licenses. Sleeman is also in charge of payroll and accounts payable for the Sheriff's Office.
